Course Overview

The General Studies module is a mandatory 4-week module that provides the critical groundwork for all courses. It is designed to ensure every student operates from a base of safety, ethics, and holistic understanding before pursuing any specialized track.

Specialized Tracks (Respiratory & Immune-Linked Disorders):

  • Asthma and chronic bronchitis
  • Catarrh, cough, sinusitis
  • Allergies and hay fever
  • Tuberculosis and lung support
  • Cold and flu herbal therapies

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, students will:

  1. Identify, collect, and prepare African medicinal plants safely.
  2. Understand phytochemistry, toxicology, and safe herbal practice.
  3. Gain mastery in at least one specialization track.
  4. Be equipped to practice as professional herbal practitioners or start herbal enterprises.

Certification

Graduates will receive a Certificate in African Alternative Medicine & Herbal Therapy,

recognized by Asiwaju School of Herbal Science. 

  • Diploma in African Alternative Medicine (after completing general + 1 specialisation)
  • Advanced Diploma (after completing general + 2 or more specialisations)
